My name is Irina. I am a painter and artisan but I really like to call myself master. It makes me feel connected to hundreds years of art traditions. I not only enjoy visual art but I enjoy the story that lies behind it. I am passionate about things that make me realize how much work, trepidation and time it took to create it.

I believe that beautiful things elevate our souls, make us better. For this I believe that the beauty will save the world. I was born and grew up in Moscow, Russia. There I got my degree in Art and Cultural Studies. Working for a long time with mosaics and murals taught me the beauty of surfaces, lines, materials. In my work I always go back to traditions. Time puts everything on its place: where once there had been a discord, time creates harmony. And if there is harmony, there is also peace and serenity.

I have been always inspired by painting from nature. I love to look around, notice details, absorb the beauty and perfection of nature. When I see something so beautiful which makes me mesmerize then I want to share it with others. Painting for me is enthralling and analytical process. When I paint, I study and it’s my tribute to what nature has created. The process of creation itself is something that I enjoy. I don’t always realize how my art happens. I would call it intuitive art. My hands are working and my eyes are watching for the moment when I reach the needed effect. In my work I like curved lines, strong and weak pressure of a brush… I love that moment of spontaneity in the movement of my hand... I love the team work of my knowledge, experience and some percent of accident which discovers new ways for my work.
